Q. Do you service gas or solid fuel appliances?
A. Afraid not! We deal only with oil.
Q. Do you service Rayburn cookers?
A. Unfortunately we no longer service or repair Rayburn cookers
Q. I only use my Aga Cooker during the winter months and turn it off during the summer. Do I still need it serviced every 6 months?
A. No. It's recommended that it is serviced after 6 months of use.
Q. Do I need to turn off my boiler/ Aga Cooker if the engineer is coming to service it?
A. Yes. Turning off your boiler a couple of hours before the engineer gets there will make his job a lot easier and safer, and enable straightforward testing.
It is essential that an Aga Cooker is turned off the night before a service so it has a chance to cool down. If it is not turned off it can't be serviced.
Q. How do I turn my Aga Cooker off?
A. There are 2 kinds of control valve. Either push up the reset lever on the oil control valve until you hear a click. It will then drop back down. (Click here for video) Or, if you have a control valve with a knob on the top, turn this all the way clockwise until you feel it slightly drop down (Click here for video). You should see the flames begin to die down after a short time.
Q. What do I do if I run out of oil?
A. Firstly get some more delivered. When you run out of oil, air and sediment can be drawn into the oil line, preventing the boiler from re-starting. If this is the case, call us. An engineer can bleed the oil line and replace any clogged filters.
Q. Are there any oil-fired appliances that you don't service or repair?
A. Yes. We do not service Rayburn, Esse, Stanley cookers or Wallflame boilers. Wallflames are a very old model for which we are unable to obtain new parts.
Q. Do you install boilers?
A. No, but we can probably recommend a good technician in your area.

A. We service boilers in all the following places - but if your home is not on the list, contact us anyway and ask!
